Coronavirus in Scotland: 18 new deaths reported as cases rise by 525
It brings the total death toll in the country since the start of the pandemic to 7,129.
Statistics released by the Scottish Government also show that, since 9am on Thursday, February 26, 525 new cases of the virus were detected.

Hide AdThat figure represents 3.1 per cent of the 19,615 Covid-19 tests conducted in Scotland yesterday.
Of the tests, 9,723 were conducted by NHS Scotland labs, while 9,892 were handled by the UK Government testing programme.
The data also confirms that 898 people are currently in hospital being treated for coronavirus, including 74 patients in the nation’s intensive care units.
As Scotland’s vaccination rollout continues, today’s figures show that 1,570,153 people have now received their first dose.
At the same time, 72,178 Scots have also been given their second dose.
