It’s reel thing for Balerno cinema
The donation by Scotmid Co-operative will help fund a projector, screen, speakers and lighting for Balerno Village Screen.
The cinema, which is run from Balerno Parish Church, opened last month, and is operated by a team of volunteers whose work is solely funded by donations.

Cinema spokesman Martin Gemmell said: “Balerno Village Screen is a community cinema funded entirely by donations. Our aim is to bring the community together to share in the enjoyment of watching films.
“We are grateful for the support we have received.”
