Man put on probation after attacking pregnant partner
Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard Kenneth Blyth, 36, had an argument with his on-off partner Samantha Murray at the Tam O'Shanter pub in Leith which resulted in her pouring a drink over him. She then left to go home.
Fiscal depute Melanie Ward said: "He followed her out as the argument continued. She slapped him across the face because she said he gave her cheek. She sat at a bus stop, he then pushed her causing her to fall against the bus stop striking her stomach. He then pulled her hair."

Hide AdMs Ward said David Low, 55, who had been in the pub but did not know either of the pair tried to break up the argument but Blyth punched him in the face.
Blyth, of Edinburgh Prison, admitted carrying out the assaults on November 14 last year at Great Junction Street.
Sheriff Frank Crowe deferred sentence for background reports.
