Police appeal after man hit by car in Edinburgh
The 25-year-old stepped on to the road at a junction in Edinburgh when he was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Vectra car.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 3.20am in Picardy Place at the junction with Broughton Street.

Hide AdThe pedestrian was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he was being treated for serious head and neck injuries.
Yesterday he remained in a serious condition.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "Despite the time at which this collision occurred, the area is often busy and members of the public may have witnessed the incident.
"If you were in Picardy Place around 3.20am this morning and have information that can assist with our enquiries, we would ask you to contact police immediately."
