Police Scotland troll England team with Calcutta Cup Tweet
Scotland ran out worthy winners in today’s Six Nations tie at Murrayfield, scoring three tries in a 25-13 win. Huw Jone’s opening try was the first Scotland had scored in the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield since 2004.
Composed by Police Scotland Control Rooms’ Twitter account, the Tweet reads: “We are receiving calls reporting singing & cheering across Scotland but it seems particularly focused on the area of Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.

“Some beat officers will walk 500 miles to investigate.”
The lighthearted constabulary banter has gone down a storm online and has already been retweeted thousands of times.
Twitter users were mostly full of praise for the Tweet.
@kenmccoll wrote: “Brilliant! Well played you guys. Always nice to remind people that there are REAL people behind corporate and public service accounts.”
Not everyone was impressed however, with one person adamant that Police Scotland should “concentrate on proper police matters” rather than compose humourous Tweets.
