Coach rues loss of White for Six Nations campaign
The 31-year-old suffered the injury while training with his club Clermont Auvergne on Friday, fracturing the tibia and fibula in his left leg, and underwent surgery yesterday.
Robinson, preparing for his first Six Nations since taking over from Frank Hadden in June, said, "Jason had an operation this morning and we wish him a speedy recovery."

Hide AdThe former national captain came on as a replacement in all three of Scotland's autumn internationals, playing a prominent part in the heroic defensive effort that saw Robinson's side defeat Australia 9-8 at a jubilant Murrayfield.
The 77-times capped forward would have been a certainty for the Six Nations given his fine current form for French Top 14 outfit Clermont.
