Bowleven wins Cameroon extension

BOWLEVEN, the Edinburgh-based oil and gas explorer, was yesterday granted a one-year extension to its Etinde exploration permit off the coast of Cameroon.

The firm has also signed a sales agreement with GDF Suez to supply gas to a proposed liquified petroleum gas facility in the African nation.

Bowleven warned that "mechanical difficulties" had slowed down work on its Sapele-2 well, but that the problems had since been resolved and that results from the well are expected within the next two weeks.
