For many as soon as the current social distancing restrictions are lifted they’ll be hitting the pubs to enjoy the sunshine and finally catch up with friends and family. Here are some of our favourite Edinburgh beer gardens we can’t wait to visit after lockdown.
1. The Royal Dick, 1 Summerhall Pl
This quirky pub is located next door to Barneys Beer and Pickerings Gin. Youll find it by venturing through the Summerhall courtyard and when the sun does put his hat on, head out front to the beer garden. Photo: Contributed
2. Teuchter’s Landing, 1c Dock Pl
Sunshine on Leith, anyone? This pub is the former waiting room for the Leith to Aberdeen steamboat ferry, so offers a unique twist on the beer garden as we know it: clientele can enjoy pints on a pontoon. Photo: Contributed
3. Three Sisters, 139 Cowgate
With one of the most well known courtyards in the city, The Three Sisters in the Cowgate is famous for its drinks deals, pub grub and great atmosphere. Plus, if live sport does resume this summer, it's one of the best places to watch it live. Photo: Three Sisters Facebook
4. The Raeburn, 112 Raeburn Place
There's a choice of outdoor spaces at The Raeburn in Stockbridge, so if the main beer garden fills up you can check out the elevated terrace overlooking the Accies rugby ground. Photo: Contributed
