BOOSTING the coffers of the Cystic Fybrosis Trust is going to be a hair-raising experience for five Hawick men.
That's because Clive Brown, Davie Sloan, Alan Smith, Ross Gibbon and Stuart Marshall are all having all-over sponsored body waxes!
Two sittings are planned at Natural Image hairdressers at the Station; one at 6.30pm on Friday night and the other, 2.30pm on Saturday.
The event has been organised through the Border Bikers group in aid of one-year-old Sophie Gibbon, who suffers from CF.
Mr Brown said: "Davie has been part of the Border Bikers for some time and Sophie's his granddaughter. We've got to know his son-in-law Ross over the years and the kids Sophie and her little twin brother Mackenzie.
"We've started doing a lot of things, like giving blood, since the twins were born. But this was an idea to raise some money quickly and, even though it's going to involve a couple of hours of real pain, it's going to be well worth it."
Sponsor sheets are in Moto Brio up the Green Cafe Brae and Natural Images.
Anyone wishing to go along and watch the waxing is free to attend.
