Boy's skull fractured in collision with car

A YOUNG boy suffered a fractured skull and facial injuries after being knocked down in East Calder.

The nine-year-old schoolboy stepped out on to the road and was hit by one car before being sent sprawling into a parked car.

He is now recovering in the Sick Kids' Hospital and is thought to be in a stable condition.

It is understood the youngster had just left Scotmid on Main Street when he stepped out between parked cars and into the path of a travelling Vauxhall Astra.
