Fraud charge man in court
A MAN has appeared in court accused of a mortgage fraud worth more than £100,000.
Steven Armit, 39, appeared on petition at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.
Armit, from Bathgate, is accused of forming a fraudulent scheme to obtain mortgage funds by falsifying wage slips, bank accounts and house valuation reports. He also faces a charge of attempting to sell a house by obtaining money through fraud.
Armit made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
