Letter: Confusing advice

How is any mother supposed to know what's the right thing to do with all the conflicting news about breastfeeding (your report, 14 January)?

When I had my children I was under a huge amount of pressure to breastfeed for a good year. It wasn't easy but I did what I felt was the right thing. Now experts are saying this could result in iron defficiencies and risks of allergies. I'm glad I don't have to go through all that again but pity those who do.
