Swordmaking is popular job
MORE than 80 people have applied for the job of working with one of Scotland's only swordmakers, following an article that was in the Evening News.
Macdonald Academy of Arms in Edinburgh wanted to hire someone who is keen to become a fully fledged sword and knife maker.
Now Paul Macdonald has decided to take on both a co-worker and an apprentice, such was the amount of interest in the role.
He described it as getting involved in "one of the most unique trades in the city".
