ROYAL Albert travel to face Civil Service Strollers in an East of Scotland first division match at Muirhouse tomorrow.
Due to games being postponed because of ground conditions, Royalists have not kicked a ball in earnest for two weeks.
There has, however, been plenty of movement within the club.
Albert manager Tom Blaikie explained: "The side needs strengthenin
g and things need changed about a bit and that's beginning to happen.
"Two Edinburgh players, Mikey Smith and Keith Kettles, have left the club, and so unfortunately has Sean Owens.
"Sean has decided to go back to Hawick United and I'm a bit disappointed about that as I thought he was a very good player and was fitting into East of Scotland league football.
"However, I am not going to stand in the boy's way if that's what he wants to do and he has been released.
"New players have been brought in though, in Steven Walker and Stuart Drysdale, from Hawick Waverley, and there could be more no the way.
"We have had players from Berwick United at training and they have been impressed with the set-up at Albert Park and they will be included in the squad for the Civil Service Strollers match."
Hawick Legion and Hawick Waverley are involved in South of Scotland Cup action.
Legion meet Kelso Thistle away from home, while Waverley travel into the unknown to tackle Carluke BAPS.
Looking ahead to this encounter, Waverley team boss Mick Hope said: "We know very little about Carluke BAPS. There have been Carluke teams in the South Cup before, but this is the first time I have heard of Carluke BAPS.
"Maybe it's the same Carluke team that keeps playing in the cup and they just keep changing their name.
"What we do know about them is that they beat Greenlaw 7-2 at Greenlaw in the first round, so they must be more than a decent side."
