JIM Renwick donned the famous old green jersey again and inspired Hawick to another win over Gala.
Alastair Imray breaks through

The 56-year-old orchestrated proceedings in the middle of the park in the Old Crocks
encounter, gliding over the Mansfield Park turf like he was a teenager again.

Hawick drew first blood through winger Keith Mitchell, but Gala hit back and took a 7-5 lead into the interval.

And the 'nip' of Port enjoyed at half-time inspired them further to increase their advantage to 14-5.

The Greens found their feet through Alistair 'Ice' Imray and John Peffers to regain the lead. And John Hogg, who had officiated in the first-half, kicked over the conversion.

Nick Bannerman grabbed the final try of the afternoon to seal a 22-14 win for Hawick.

It was, however, an unhappy return to Hawick for former player Derek Turnbull. Turning out for the Maroons, he had to leave the field early after an accidental clash left him with a broken shoulder.
