ay from good ball, but from defending, the visitors broke away and a fine run by Alex Norrie saw them score their third touchdown.
Before half-time, Ross Nichol finished off a good move with a superb try. All kicks were missed and the Baker Street men went in 20-0 up at the break.
The second period saw the BATs notching their first touchdown after a spell of pressure on the Hawick side's line. Now coming more into the game, the hosts then claimed a second score.

Best for the Quins were Ross Nichol, Craig Richardson, Steven Gray and Rory McPherson, while another plus point was the appearance of Stefan Laidlaw, who came on as a replacement for his first game of the season.
The victory gives the Quins a second round tie against Hawick Linden on November 22.
