Hawick Legion Rovers 2 Lauder 4

GIVING a rock-bottom display, Rovers slumped to a miserable defeat in this Border Amateur Division 'C' clash.
Failing completely to produce the form they are capable of, Rovers were never in the hunt and could well have been beaten by a bigger scoreline.

After a defensive error gifted Lauder the opening goal, Chris Gardiner and Mark Deans had chances to put Rovers on level terms but failed to take them.

Lauder went on to extend their lead early in the second-half following another bungle at the back.

Dean McColm then gave Rovers a brief glimpse of hope in pulling a goal back.

But the homesters failed to build on this and Lauder went on to net a further two goals.

Rovers reduced the leeway through a goal from William Monteith.

However, the Hawick side's day of woe continued when Jamie Nisbet was red carded.
