Golf: Forrest to the fore in France

CRAIGIELAW teenager Grant Forrest maintained his 100 per cent record as Scotland's young golfers moved into pole position for the Boys' Quadrangular title at the Chiberta club in France.

Stuart Wilson's side, who beat defending champions Sweden in their opening match, produced a battling singles rally to edge out France 5-4 and were heading into today's final match against Italy knowing victory would give them a third quadrangular crown in five years.

In the morning foursomes, Forrest teamed up with Calum Stewart to beat Kenny Subregis and Thomas Chapon by one hole in the final tie.
